Comparison of Leading Motor Oils
The following graphs depict the coefficient of friction for leading motor oils available in the retail market and how the addition of MPG+ reduces the friction when added as recommended. The lines on the graph depict the coefficient of friction the test device experienced while the test was being performed. The number shown at the bottom of each graph known as the “Grand Average” is the average coefficient of friction for each oil and oil blended with MPG+. The higher the “Grand Average”, the greater the friction is. Accordingly, the lower the “Grand Average”, the lower the coefficient of friction. Performance of an engine, or any machine, improves when the coefficient of friction is reduced.
Mobil 1 is recognized as the world’s leading synthetic motor oil
The “Grand Average” of the coefficient of friction for the Mobil 1 – 15W50 is 0.097. When MPG+ is added to the Mobil 1 oil at the recommended rate of 2 ounces per quart, the “Grand Average” of the coefficient is reduced to 0.055, which is a 43.3% reduction of friction.- Friction Test – Mobil 1 15W50 Oil
